Hey everyone! Remember me? Landry here checking in! For those of you that have not been following along, please allow me to introduce myself. I came to the great people here at Houston Boxer Rescue a couple of months ago and I was in pretty rough shape. I heard some of you even saw my story and donated to my care! I want to thank each of you very much for that! I am happy to tell you I am doing quite well these days now that I have been in a great foster home. So it begins like this, when I came in, my hip was pretty messed up. In fact it was so messed up that I had to have a surgery to repair some damage. But the good news is that I am recovering quite nicely from that and making more and more progress each day. I go to therapy to help regain the strength in my hind leg and it is really helping me. My foster parents tell me that I am one of the most mellow dogs they have ever met. I am so thankful for these people and all the help and love they have given me over these last couple of months. I get along fantastic with the other 4 legged friends in the house as well. I was told that there is one pup in the house that usually doesn't take too much to stranger dogs, like I was, but we get along great! I am completely house trained and crate trained as well. I have even been doing so good that occasionally I am not always in the crate at night or when my foster humans might go for a quick errand, and I will just wait patiently for them to come back and I make sure not to mess up anything! I just love being told what a good boy I am, and I am finding out that when I am a good boy, I get belly rubs. Lemme tell ya, I LOVE belly rubs! I am still not able to exercise a whole lot as I am still recovering some from my surgery, but I do like going for a short walk on a leash and I am also told that I walk just great on a leash. All in all, I am just a loving sweet boy who is looking for a home that will treat me as good as I will treat you. I just know that home is out there and I will find it very soon. Won't you please consider opening up your home to me and letting me show you how awesome I am?! Get your applications in soon and I sure I hope I can meet you!
