Heartworm positive - Heart Murmur

Hi. I’m Anastasia. I'm a sweet, super shy and timid girl. I'm getting used to the big outside world, as I've been in a kennel outside my whole life (pretty sad, I know.) That’s why right now any loud noises scare me, and I look to my foster family before I do anything. They know I'm still scared and that the kennel is my safe space and they let me use it whenever I want.

I'm completely kennel trained when it comes to going to the bathroom. I say my kennel, but my foster mom has this giant kennel that 4 of us fit into and boy do I love cuddling my foster fursiblings. But I don't like to be completely alone in my kennel, if you want to put the kennel beside your bed I'd be perfectly okay with that. But I'm really good sleeping with you too. But please don't put me in the dark by myself.

I’m getting used to being inside, and my foster mom even let me sleep with her. I was such a good girl for her! I'm learning it's okay to explore everything. I like this thing the humans sit on called a couch. They let me up on it too to get love. I like love a lot!

We found out I have heart worms. But don’t worry, I'm on a pill to get ready for heartworm treatment and I should be just fine once I’m done with treatment. My foster parents say I'm a smart girl! I have figured out how to eat just the outside treat covering the pill and then I drop the pill. But don’t you worry, I'm actually really easy to give a pill to.

In my forever home I would like a fur sibling about my size, as they give me comfort and I like to  play chase and cuddle. But also because I will look to them to show me everything and for reassurance. I am starting to figure out toys, and I like to bring them all in the kennel with me, my foster mom plays with me as do all three of my foster fur siblings.  We have lots of fun!

My foster dad says I've filled out and you can't see my hip bones anymore. I do like food, but I'm not food agressive, my foster furbrothers like to eat my food, so sometimes my foster mom sneaks me extra. I'm almost the perfect weight.

I'm trying to get out of my shell more, my foster mom took me on a walk and I really wanted to see what the other people were doing, but I was too shy to approach them. But I was really curious so I just watched them while my foster mom talked to someone. I really like my foster mom, she plays and pets me and reassures me. I lay on the couch beside her and get pets, but when she isn't giving me attention, I get sad so I lick her until she pets me, I even put my head on this thing she is using to write this message.

I think i'm ready start meeting people. But don't be surprised if I'm still shy around you, I just need a little more time to figure out this big scary world.  If you want to meet me, please fill out an adoption application. Then we can set up a time to get to know each other, I’m ready!
