Hi there! My name is Trucks and I was really hoping you would click here and let me tell you a little more about myself. And you did! Woo Hoo! Thank you so much for doing that. I knew my good feeling about you was right! So, let’s get down to business. You are looking for a new family member, and I am looking for a new family. This is off to a good start! Let’s see what else we have in common…

I was wondering around on the street with a good buddy of mine, when we happened upon this very nice lady who was worried about us. She took us in, fed us, and tried to find out where we had come from but was not successful. Instead of giving up, do you know what she did? She became our foster mom, took us to the vet, and contacted the nice folks at Houston Boxer Rescue to help us find new homes.  And that is how I find myself here, talking to you.

I am about three years old. I love to play with toys and other dogs, but I also like to snuggle, relax, and just chill. My foster mom says I am sweet and lovable. Now, I’m going to let you in on a small secret, right from the start, but you have to promise not to tell anyone. You’re not going to tell are you? You’re not? Great! Okay here goes… I think cats are evil and I don’t like them! So much so, that I think they might be planning something, so I go all out to protect my humans from cats by chasing them away. And I promise that should we become family, I will protect you from those sneaky felines too! Alright, that’s enough about cats. Let’s see, what else can I tell you about myself?

There is something that I want to tell you, but I’m nervous. I’m nervous to tell you, because when some people hear the words I am about to say, they get scared, or stop reading.  And I really like you, and I don’t want you to stop reading. Promise me you won’t stop reading. Please! Okay here goes nothing… I am heartworm positive. There. I said it. It’s out there. Wait? You’re still here? That’s fantastic! Because you know what, heartworms are treatable and I can make a full recovery! And that is what I plan on doing.

Now that the hard stuff is out there, what else should I tell you? I know, I have broken the house!!! Wait! That’s not right. I meant to say I am house broken. You know what I mean, right? I’m trying to say the words you humans use to say that I know to only go to the bathroom outside, because I have that skill mastered! I am also making progress on learning to walk on a leash, and not accidentally wondering off when I get curious.

So, what do you think? I know, you are as smitten with me as I am with you. So what comes next? Well, I’m glad you asked. I think you should hurry up and fill out an application so we can meet face to face! But I’m warning you though, be prepared to fall in love at first sight, just like I know I’m going to do with you.

Our basic transport fee is $300, occasionally this price could change. This fee is for transporting our boxers outside of Texas up North. We do not offer transport in Texas/Louisiana.
