Hello humans! My name is Anela, and I am 18 months old. My name is pronounced "ah-NEE-la" and it means angel in Hawaiian! :) By the way, can you hear me? Because I can't hear you at all!!! Hahaha.....I made a funny! You see, I'm deaf, but it doesn't stop me one bit. I can still hang with my two foster dog brothers and my foster dog sister. Not gonna lie though.......my foster brother cats are really, really interesting. I follow them around as often as I can, and my foster Mom says that I'm "stressing them out." Not sure what that means, but I think it means they don't want to play with me and that they don't like it when I box them. Oh well. I have other friends!

There aren't any human little people here, but my foster Mom says that she's sure I'd be great with them! The only thing I need to learn is maybe to settle a bit, but because I'm only still a baby, really, it's kind of tough for me. I am also learning this breaking the house thing. I guess I'm supposed to do my business outside and not in the house. Who knew??? I was outside most of my life, so I just thought I could go wherever I want to! I think I'll get the hang of it soon though (I'm pretty smart).

I love hanging out with my foster puppy brother and playing playing playing playing. He's my best friend right now! My foster Mom is also my best friend. I bonded to her pretty quickly, even though I seemed pretty shy at first. I'm really not; I'm outgoing and friendly, but I'm also protective of my people and my friends. I bark when I see something I don't like because I know that my foster Mom can hear me.

I hope you'll choose me to be your next Boxer. We deaf Boxers can get a bad rap, but we're just as much fun and full of energy as our hearing kinfolk! You just have to have a little more patience and take a little extra time to train us, but I promise we won't let you down. Please give me a chance! I would love a home to call my own!!!!

Our basic transport fee is $300 for boxers traveling outside of Texas to their new homes up North. This fee may vary occasionally. Note: Transport is not available within Texas or Louisiana.
