Hi, my name is Trey! I'm an all-around typical boy. You'll never have to worry about me not wanting to go outside to potty when it's rainy out! I don't mind getting dirty and I really enjoy splashing around in water!
I'm a rough and tumble kind of guy - running, jumping, wrestling and rolling around. My playmates have to be able to withstand my size because I haven't quite figured out how big I am! I love, Love, LOVE playing with other dogs but some of them get mad at me when I accidentally run into them. I don't mean to but I just haven't learned how to control the brakes yet! Don't get me wrong, I play nicely and don't use teeth but this body... I've been told I'm a brickhouse! I am making a conscious effort to have better control and I think once I'm out of my teenage years things will all come together. Everyone's got an awkward phase, right?
I've been misjudged for quite some time because of my enthusiastic outlook on life. I'm just so happy to be in a home and off the streets. Houston Boxer Rescue got me out of a shelter west of Houston just in time. I'm so thankful I just can't contain myself when I think about it! I might have missed out on some fur-ever homes because I was listed as not OK with cats. BUT... I live with lots of them now and I do just fine. I get a swat on the nose every once in a while when I stick it in places it shouldn't be, but those cats mean business and I sure don't wanna find out what comes next!
My foster mom has introduced me to many new things but one of my favorite things to do is to play. Playing with toys, romping around in the water, wrestling with dog-buddies, and of course playing w/ people! Since I'm still so awkward with the control of this big body, I do best around the larger human kind, probably 10 yrs old and up. Like I said, I mean well and all but I just don't know how to control this machine yet! I'm not afraid of the little ones, nor do I dislike them. I don't want to accidentally hurt anybody.
We've also practiced some basic obedience training with commands like Watch me, Sit, Down, Stay and Come. I'm doing really well so far and I look forward to learning more! Do you want to teach me? I'll be your best buddy!
