Hi!!  I’m Madden.  I’m an owner surrender and come fully house-trained and perfectly well-behaved.  I am the most playful pup ever, even though I’m 5.  I love to fetch and will bring back my toy again and again until you get tired.  I never do!  I can catch a piece of cheese from 3 paces and I bet you could teach me to catch a Frisbee if you’re into that.  I love my crate and will sleep as late as you do in the mornings.  I don’t chew on shoes or go on the furniture or beds.  Of course if you decide the beds and furniture are OK, I can surely adjust!! 

I love my food, but am a gentle eater.  When I get treats, I am really careful to nibble only on the treats and not the fingers.  I’m not a fool – I don’t bite the hand that feeds me!!  I am smarter than the average bear, and can easily figure out doggie doors and other basics.  I love to go on walks and in cars, I am easy on the leash, and don’t get stressed when other dogs walk by.  I like other dogs and had a dog-brother at my previous owner, but I am a little cautious at first.   I love to play with toys and people.  I like to wrestle with my foster dad sometimes, but I know that my foster mom doesn’t like that, so I tone it down.  I have a really good sense of what’s appropriate, and know right from wrong.  In my previous home, there were teenagers and I loved them.  I haven’t been around little ones too often lately, but all indications are that I would do very well, and would probably become besties very quickly.    

I am super loyal.  I will follow you around the house and hope you decide to play with me.  I’ll play all day, but also will settle easily if you have to do some work or one of those zoom calls.  I like to participate in those calls if you let me.  I can usually add something to the conversation, and I know how to “pivot” and “take it offline”.    While I don’t bark too much (I am a boxer, after all!), I love to look out the window and will send a brief alert if I see something outside that doesn’t look right.   

I am heartworm negative and have been checked out top to bottom.  I am totally 100% healthy and don’t take any meds.  I like to drink too much water if you leave out a whole bowl, so you have to meter out my water for me, just like you do food for most dogs.  The HBR vet did every test and made sure that the water thing is behavioral and not a sign of something wrong.

Our basic transport fee is $300, occasionally this price could change. This fee is for transporting our boxers outside of Texas up North. We do not offer transport in Texas/Louisiana.
