Hello! I am Katniss; the brindle boxer puppy. And I am Prim; the white boxer puppy. We are five month old sisters who are looking for someone to volunteer as tribute and give us a forever home. Let us tell you a little bit more about ourselves, so you can make the decision.
We were rescued from the shelter by HBR. Unfortunately before we ended up at the shelter we did not have a good start in life. We were underweight, had nutritional deficits, and perhaps worst of all somebody tried to dock our tails in a painful and cruel way. So when we showed up to the shelter, we were kind of in bad shape. That didn’t matter to HBR though. They took us in, fixed us up, gave us lots of love, and are now helping us find our forever homes.
Now that we are part of the HBR family, we’ve become normal, playful, happy, goofy, boxer puppies. We love to play with toys, other dogs, and kids. We know how to sleep all night in a crate, we are almost completely housebroken, and we know how to give the best puppy kisses and snuggles you’ve ever had!
Here is a little more about us individually from our foster mom:
Katniss - Katniss is a take charge puppy. She loves to play and be snuggled. She will initiate play with humans and other dogs, and nudge you when she wants loved. She is definitely a leader and will become an alpha female. Her philosophy is to jump in and get in the middle of things before she stops to think about it. She is very curious about everything and will investigate new things. Due to her alpha female personality she should only be adopted by a family that does not have a dog already or only has male dogs.
Prim - Prim is the follower of the two sisters. This is probably because she has a significant hearing loss and looks to the other dogs in the house for cues as to what is going on. She is incredibly sweet, lovable, and playful. She can be timid in new situations, but once she knows everything is okay she relaxes and immediately starts giving everyone puppy kisses. She is definitely a lover! Due to her hearing loss she will need to be adopted into a family with another dog.
