11/27---UPDATE!!! This girl has come such a long way! She still is a little hesitant around new furry friends, but quickly warms up and loves to play with her foster sister puppy! Also, we recently found out that she does not mind cats! She loves to play tug of war, either with you or another fur baby, and does not get aggressive at all! She truly is a wonderful companion and will make a family truly lucky to have her.
Lucy, I'm home! Could you just imagine saying that to me when you come home to see my beautiful face every day? Hello all! My name is Lucy Lou and I am a 4yo spayed brindle female. I was found roaming the streets a few weeks ago but the wonderful people here at Houston Boxer Rescue are helping me become the wonderful dog that I know I can be. I had some mass cells that had to be removed, but I am all better from that now! Unfortunately I also have those nasty heartworms, but I am in treatment for them and they should be a thing of the past soon. Now for the good stuff! I absolutely adore people. I am very very sweet and love being next to my two legged family as much as possible but I am learning my boundaries as well and am getting good at knowing where to go and where not to go. I am learning that my crate is my safe place and am getting very good at going in it...especially if my food bowl or a treat is waiting for me in there! I walk perfectly on a leash and love going for walks when you can take me. I am also perfectly housetrained, it is not lady like to use the bathroom inside! Somewhere along the way, another dog did me wrong and I can be very hesitant and protective when coming into contact with a new dog. My foster family is working hard with me to help me understand that it is ok to trust other 4 legged friends. I have even gotten to the point where I really like to play with my foster sister who is just a puppy! Hope to see you all soon!

Transport Fee
Our basic transport fee is $300, occasionally this price could change. This fee is for transporting our boxers outside of Texas up North. We do not offer transport in Texas/Louisiana.
